How can I hurry this along?

3 Card Reading: Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot

My prosthetist has told me that I need a much better foot because the one I have now is not up to my activity levels as it’s super basic and I am very active.  I have to wait for an OK for the funding and he’s also said that he doesn’t know how long the wait is but it could be up to a year 😱. I’m hoping that’s a worst case scenario and have no intention of allowing things to go on that long.  Meanwhile, other NHS limb centres have no such waiting lists and other amputees that I know are getting the components they need as soon as they need them.  It is unfair and I’m feeling very much like I’ve got the short end of the stick with my limb centre (again)..

So I asked:

“How can I hurry this along?”

I used the German Rider-Waite-Smith deck and pulled 3 cards:

Ace of Pentacles, 9 of Wands, The Tower XVI

The message seems very clear and I love it when that happens. No need to really ponder this, the cards are being direct and to the point:

The Ace is the offer I’ve been given.  They have acknowledged that I need something better than I have now and have offered to put me on the list for funding.  The guy on the 9 of Wands is me, waiting and tired of waiting (I spent 9 months with a newly qualified prosthetist who could not make a prosthesis that fitted me so I feel as if I’ve been messed around enough) I feel as if I’m ready for something to happen now.  On a brighter note, the 9 says that I’m almost there, the end is in sight, I just need to stick it out for a little longer.

The last card, The Tower is the one in the ‘advice’ position so this is the card that’s really answering my question and it advises me to shake things up to get something done, to go to the top and emulate the tower on the card which is quite literally blowing its top and say what I think. I need to shake the foundations, let them know that other limb centres are performing better and that telling someone who has already been waiting for 16 months for a decent prosthesis that they may have to wait another year is not good enough.

When I decided I’d run out of patience with my previous, inexperienced prosthetist, I went to the centre manager and it was sorted out straight away, I think I need to make an appointment with her and let her know how I feel.

Thank you tarot 😊
